*******Our Father's Words of Wisdom*******

It is the breath of God that gives us life as we read in Genesis 2:7. In the following verses our Father explains the importance of wisdom and His words in our lives. For we sometimes forget that all the words of the Bible come from God even when not spoken directly.

*****Believe For We Are Loved*****

I know this post has come shortly after my last, which has only been up a few days, however, I was moved by the Holy Spirit to write this poem quickly and directed to post it immediately.

Our loving Father who knows all things knew that until we reached Glory, we would need all the help possible to endure our trials. For both good and bad are a necessary part in God's divine plan. And our obedience to Him through those trials are critical to our individual Glory. John 14:2 “There are many lodgings in my Father's house, and if not, I would have told you, because I go to prepare a place for you.”

It has been a very dark and sad month not only for myself but for many of my Sisters and Brothers who have mourned the loss of a loved one who brought love and light to our paths. I pray for us all. We know the days ahead will only get harder but we must all keep in mind what God promised us in Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,^[a] who^[b] have been called according to his purpose."

Hi My Dear friends, I was asked this week by a friend going through some tough times, how is that you can forgive and forget? I just don't understand she said, family, doctors, friends, so many people have failed you and let you down, and yet you have no malice or bitterness and you still love them. She said "I can't, I can't do that."
To her surprise I said I can't either, stunned she said "what are you talking about I see you do it all the time." I responded with the truth, I said "I don't do it, the Holy Spirit does."

Hi My Dear Friends, I apologize for the delay in my posts, but the Lord has had me doing some very challenging work for him; emotionally, physically and spiritually. Hi My Dear Brothers and Sisters, As some of you may be aware of, (especially in the states,) there have been a lot of teen suicides as of late, and there is an actual organization and site on u-tube called It gets better.org It was created for all those children being bullied for being different. For those of you who have read my book you know this topic is very close to my heart, so I was inspired to write this poem. I am not sure who may need to read it, but only that I felt compelled to write it.

Maybe it's because our Father gently reminds us of the character and heart He knows we truly possess and when we surrender, it is that heart that leads our life, and if we ignore His words of wisdom and fall prey to our humankind, He also shares what the consequences will be.

We Are Meant To Shine

Within us all lies a buried treasure,

the search is half the fun.

And once it is uncovered,

it's not just "you", but "us" that's won.

Ask, Expect, Accept....Such a simple concept, and yet we are constantly being thrown detours to deter us from our purpose and path, which our Father has hand picked for each of us.

When I wake up in the morning the first thing I say is "good morning Father and thank you for this day, no matter what it may bring. Because I know that if I ask, expect, and accept your direction, I am guaranteed to have an awesome day."

****Don't Plead but Present Your Case****

There are many scriptures in the Bible in which our Father gives us His word about many things. For instance He said to us in Proverbs 4: 18 " But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full day." He also said in Psalm 46: 1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

********Count Our Blessings********

How awesome is our God. He sends us what we need way ahead of us even knowing what is about to cross our path. As Christians we know to be grateful even through our trials, and though it isn't always easy, when we stand steadfast, and sure of our Fathers direction, after the smoke clears, we always seem to find comfort and joy, even in the worst of circumstances.

Happy Weekend everyone...Wow, what storms we've been having across the country. Last night we had teacup size hail 2 towns over, which is about 6 miles away, towns are back-to-back here, there are demarcation lines everywhere, my Mom lives next door and she is in a different town, pretty unique.

This morning I wanted to share with you a poem about something I saw and was inspired to write. I truly hope it brings a smile to your face, and perhaps makes you think a little about how through all things our Heavenly Father wants us to know He's  always there, and sends us gentle reminders, even after horrific storms, His love shines through.

Spread Love and Kindness Every Day

For those of you who are not familiar with my book, the premise is basically about fulfilling our purpose that God has chosen for each of us; and no matter what they may be as individuals, as a whole, it is our responsibility as Christians to spread love and kindness, and not judgement.

A smile goes a long way, as does a compliment, and we never know the inner thoughts of someone who is acting unfriendly or rude. We don't know the "Why?," however, by showing kindness in spite of their actions, we might just make a difference in that person's life.

***Spirtual Life Is Much Like A Chess Game***

What a week. Did you ever have one of those weeks, where, all of the people in your inner circle are simultaneously under attack? Of course you immediately go into prayer, and seek guidance for direction and encouragement, as the barrage just keeps coming.

****United We Stand Divided We Fall****

Let me start this post by saying that there is not one person whether Christian or Non-Christian that has not been misled or tricked by our attacker.

 That being said, in light of what has happened with our fellow brother and sister's in Christ that followed Family Radio and gave up their possessions, jobs, and families to go out and spread the news of the rapture before May 21st 2011; we must join hands and pray, not mock or judge.

********Circle of Strength********

Lincoln was once quoted saying: " And in the end it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years."

As Christians a truer statement was never made. For we know that we each have an integral part in our Father's perfect plan, a purpose. What we don't know is how long it will take us to fulfill, or when we will attain it.

*****Keeping Our Joy and Faith*****

I received a message today from a fellow Christian and Author who has been bombarded lately with so many attacks that she was beginning to question her gift and path. As our Father tells us through His word I did what any of our brothers or sisters would do; I prayed and asked for the wisdom to share the words He needed her to hear.

****For All The Mother's Out There****

 I have been blessed to have a Mother who has always tried to instill upon us, the importance of being the best we can be, and to love and show kindness, and to reach out to those who may not ask for support.

Like all Mother-Daughter relationships we have had our moments, but in my heart I have always Known that she did and still does her very best. Sometimes we as children forget that our parents are only human, and though we want to believe they know everything, and will always make the right choice, they can't, because none of us are perfect.

****Remembering We All Have A Purpose****

First I must apologise to my fellow bloggers as I have not had the clarity to absorb or read so many of my favorite blogs, but I will be visiting you all over the next few days.

I am so blessed to have made so many dear Christian friends whose prayers and kindness has gotten me through some very rough weeks, and I am happy to say that they have helped me to deal with my pain level, as well as add to my spiritual strength and overcome some very debilitating days. I am now back to a level where I can at least function.

****We've Been Extremely Tested Lately*****

First I want to say that all our prayers go out to those in the south who have lost friends, families, and their homes. It is so hard to see so many people 's lives forever changed in  an instant. We as Christians all must join in prayer across the country to bring strength to those, who at this moment, are having all that they believe in tested.

*****We Must Always Remember*****

Our most Precious, Awesome, holiday is upon us, Easter. As with most holidays,  we can get caught up in the preparation for family. The cooking, cleaning, shopping, making baskets, and planning the annual egg hunt for the children, a family tradition amongst my extended family.

***** Our Lives Are Like Spring Everyday*****

Spring is such an awesome everyday reminder of how loving, nurturing, and
all-knowing our Father truly is. No matter how bad the winter may have been, what damage it may have caused, without fail, come spring the birds return with the beauty of song, the flowers bud in anticipation of showing off their beautiful colors, and the trees look froward to bringing us much needed shade for the upcoming summer to follow.

****We Need To Keep Our Balance****

Hi My Dear Friends,
So sorry for the delay in a new post, but my health has had other plans.
In studying 1Peter: 5 yesterday, I found great comfort and a gentle reminder that we all need balance.

When I worked I enjoyed Sixty hour weeks, and thought I was a dedicated, responsible worker, but was I responsible to me? When I got hurt after falling on ice, I didn't slow down, for I felt that would be giving in, who planted that thought? How many times do I ignore that feeling deep inside that tells me to rest? What about when I push thoughts aside and say " no I can't do that," so I do nothing?"

In watching the news non-stop accept to pray for all those affected by this horrendous natural disaster, I thought it only appropriate that we as Christians band our strength of prayer, and unite as one to increase our power so that we can help stop the Nuclear Plant from having a melt down, making this already horrific occurrence even more devastating.

****The Holy Spirit Needs Us All****

No matter how young, old,big,small,smart, or average we may be, the Holy Spirit needs us all. As everyone watches the above clip, you will see that He will use the most insignificant piece of paper to bring us joy and although this particular piece of paper in itself was bringing unwelcoming news, the Holy Spirit made sure that His joy for us is stronger than any news or reports or rejections we may encounter.

****A Coincidence, I Think Not....****

In catching up on my blogging I noticed that many of my fellow Christian bloggers posts were very similar in their message. Strange, a coincidence, I think not. It just goes to prove that the Holy Spirit has a definite plan, and for those of us who are listening, He is taking hold and planting the seeds so that our lights may shine brightly through the darkness that surrounds us.

Our God is so awesome. As you know we all have our roads, paths, and purpose, but did you know that whatever we come up against can't take away our joy? I am sure when I say this next phrase a lot of heads will be bopping and hands will be raised; my life is an obstacle course. Everyday I get some right hook, or wrench thrown into what I thought was my plan for the day.

After what happened the other day . I wanted to sit still and listen for God's direction. I opened up my Bible to Psalm 86 and asked for strength and His loving answer.

Tonight, I went out to the site where I posted my book. It is with Harper Collins in the U.K and there, clear as day was the answer I sought. There were two comments left in the last two days, I sat crying at the awesome way our Heavenly Father can send His powerful direction, comfort and love.

*****Being Steadfast Is A Growing Process*****

In James 1:4 The Lord talks to us about growing and not letting our problems keep us from the wisdom He is trying to teach us. I had an experience last night that tested that principal in a very strong way. We know as Christians that controlling our temper and staying calm under attack is a clear view on how we are doing in our walk and maturity in Christ.

For the past four months I have been helping a fellow writer with His manuscript. When I first read it I felt a strong feeling deep in my stomach that the Lord wanted me to help this Author whose work was written from pain and despair.

I had a really wonderful thing happen to me today. What made it really meaningful was that I had no idea who this person was, as we had never met or even spoke. I went to the supermarket in my hometown, and as in all small towns we all know each other and ask what's new, and share small talk about our lives.

****How Can We Promote Inner Beauty?****

After watching the news this evening there was a lead story on the message young people feel they need to project to fit in. Most of us have been there. In school we were judged by how we dressed and who we dated, and it appears that hasn't changed.

However, what has changed is the type of pressure our youth faces. When we chose not to conform,we faced less invitations to parties and less people around our table at lunch. Today our youth gets taunted and even bullied physically.

***A Little Poetry To Brighten the Day....***

I don't know if many of you know I have been a published poet way longer than a published Author. I was sharing some of my poetry with a dear friend and she said she absolutely loved the following poem. It is also one of my favorites, and since my last post was not as uplifting as I normally post, ( Thank you all for your prayers and support it means the world to me and my family) I thought I would share this and hope it brings you the peace it always brings to me when I read it...

**The Holy Spirit Let's Us Know... If We Listen**

We all know that in many of the Bible stories told, God gave prior knowledge to many of His children about things to come. We also know that our Father left us the Holy Spirit to be our counselor so that He may keep us on the path God intended for each of us.

I know many of us speak numerous times during the course of our day to the Holy Spirit and when we are still we can hear His answers or sense the direction in which we are to go even when, at that particular  moment we may not understand His answer.

***** Did You Take A Moment Today?*****

Since  half our Country is having extreme weather conditions, many people found themselves housebound or headed home early. In having several conversations today, I realized many of them had a similar direction to them. Everyone moaning and complaining, saying how they are over this winter weather already.

It always strikes me as odd, that year after year we always seem to complain about the snow in the winter and the heat in the summer; and yet, we all know it is inevitable. It's the same year after year, and still our response is always one of disbelief.

So many of us are brought up to be competitive and strive for the best. Not such a bad thing, however, some of us at some point or another get caught up in the payoff and not the road in which we take to get there.

For me it has always been about the journey, not so much about the end result; perhaps it's because in my heart I always felt that the life I lead is what I leave behind and not the things I have collected that will ultimately have the most impact on those who have crossed my path.

***Time Flies so Embrace Every Moment***

Boy what a week it's been. Some of it not so good and some of it terrific, "That's Life." I had to go for some test this week, and though not pleasant, I know that they will bring the answers I need, so I rolled with it. While in the city I got to catch up with people I have not had the chance to spend time with in quite some time.

****Beauty and Joy Surround Us Everyday****

I know in our hectic lives that we sometimes don't take notice of the everyday beauty God surrounds us with. We take for granted that crystal clear water we so easily get from our faucets, I myself never gave it much thought until my water pump went and I had NO water for 2 days. I couldn't shower, cook, flush my toilet, I thought, Wow, how blessed we are to have such a wonderful thing as clean water to drink and bathe in. In so many countries water is truly an issue and I sometimes too, forget to give thanks for the things we use and see everyday.

I normally don't share any chapters of my book as many authors do, though I find nothing wrong with it, I just usually write what the Holy Spirit lays strongly on my heart.( The funny thing is some of my stories are longer than my chapters, like this one for instance.)
Since the response to my last story "The Power of Words" seem to move people I thought I would share my personal confrontation with the power of words...I would love for those of you who are moved to share an experience you may have had to do so, as I feel when we share personal situations they seem to become more real, and impactful. *******The Power of Words*******

In light of the most recent Horrific and Devastating shooting spree in Arizona, I was moved to speak about the power of words. Throughout the Bible the power of the tongue is covered in many places. I want to first list how harmful the tongue can be by quoting James 3: 2-12,  We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
 ³ When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. ⁴ Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.

Psalm 31: 5-6 says; "Into your hand I commit my spirit. You have rescued me, O God who keeps His promises. I worship only you;"

The above youtube video is about a homeless man found at an intersection, holding a sign saying he has a God given gift, and a news paper reporter challenged His statement and asked him to prove it.

How awesome is our God. An admitted recovering alcoholic and drug user ( clean 2 years, I believe,) originally from Brooklyn, N.Y winds up in Ohio to be discovered at a crossroad, a coincidence, I think not.

********* Why Be Nice?**********

So this question popped up today in general conversation, the gist of the conversation was basically about an invitation I received for two for a marketing seminar. The party I was speaking to stated if someone were able to make a lot of money why would they give a seminar and share their knowledge with other people? Clearly knowing up front that he was a Marketing director trying to help others make more money online, it was plain that his objectives were to sell marketing tools after he was through with the seminar.

 His brochure clearly stated that after the free meal and seminar ,also free, that he would have Cd's available to aid in this endeavor and if after purchasing and reviewing, if you still felt it wasn't what you needed you had 3 days in which to acquire a refund.

I was quite taken aback by the fact that someone would be shocked that others out there are willing to share their knowledge and help. Though offering  free meal and MP3 player to increase his audience size, I for one, am all about spreading the wealth and being a team player.

It's a New Year but What About a New Day

I think it's wonderful that everywhere around the world there is such a huge celebration of hope and new beginnings annually. What puzzles me to some degree is why we don't remember that each day we awake, is a hopeful beginning.

We get to truly make each day a brand new day; how amazing is that? We get to let go of all that may have gone wrong, all that we may have handled badly, and tell ourselves that we can do things better today.
