*********Ask, Expect, Accept*********

Ask, Expect, Accept....Such a simple concept, and yet we are constantly being thrown detours to deter us from our purpose and path, which our Father has hand picked for each of us.

When I wake up in the morning the first thing I say is "good morning Father and thank you for this day, no matter what it may bring. Because I know that if I ask, expect, and accept your direction, I am guaranteed to have an awesome day."

I am not saying it will be a perfect day, more than likely it won't be, because the closer and more intimate our relationship with the Father and the Holy Spirit, the more it angers our attacker, therefore, he will try repeatedly throughout our day ( I know you all know what I am talking about) to cause us to forget our morning conviction and conversation.

But the great news is, that even if our attacker trips us up temporarily, we get to go through our ammunition, Gods word, extract the verse that is needed for our particularly circumstance, and wham, we're right back on our path for the day.

A few years ago it might have taken me a day or two to shake it off, and now that I'm so close to the Father and the Holy Spirit, those one or two days have now become a few minutes to a half hour.

It's Just amazing to know that Proverbs 3: 5-7 is there for us 100% of the time, as is any other support we may need for a particular situation.

So my prayer for us all this week is that we remember our loving Father left us well equiped, and He doesn't only want us to survive but He wants us to excel, so let us  give thanks for His abundant love, many blessings, and His never ending support.

Have a fruitful week. God Bless,  hugs, love and prayers ...Patricia©

  1. Good Morning, Patricia:)
He absolutely doesn't want us just "to survive" each day, although there have been times when I felt I could not survive the day, let alone another one. The best part of going through those times, is I DID survive........and was better for it. So, as we grow in Jesus Christ, and walk closer with the Holy Spirit, and stay close in the Word, we become better equipped to handle those adversities that come unaware each day. :) Thank you for the post!

  2. Good Morning....You are absolutely right. I need to daily have my "full armour" on...the attacker is always lurking, trying to devour us. But we have the WORD at our fingertips and should be always seeking him and praying.

    What a wonderful post. I pray your day is blessed. I know it will be {smile}

  3. I love Proverbs 3:5-7. God gave me this before I came to learn it by heart. From this I know how terribly important it is, to Trust in Him.
So much does get throw at us during the day.. and it is so easy to become unfocused. This morning I have coffee and a chat with two lovely ladies. One said to me. When the cat dies, bury it completey, don't leave the tail hanging out. If you do, you will end up pulling it out of the hole and trying to find another place to bury it. We can't give over to God and then keep taking it back again..yet I for one, often do this....
I love your morning conversation with the Father.. so lovely.

  4. Hey Pat. I'm in agreement with Crystal Mary, not with the cat analogy, I've buried to way many cats in my life to use an analogy like that, but the idea is sound. Trust in God even when in the process of falling, He will catch you. I fall all the time, I think that is why Jesus talks about the crippled and the lame? Anyway, it will all work out for the best in the end. Peace my friend.
Thanks for the visit, it is always so nice to hear from you. Blessings to you, Geoff.

  10. Hi -

I love these things that you expressed,
"A few years ago it might have taken me a day or two to shake it off, and now that I'm so close to the Father and the Holy Spirit, those one or two days have now become a few minutes to a half hour.

"... He doesn't only want us to survive but He wants us to excel, so let us give thanks for His abundant love, many blessings, and His never ending support."

Oh, to come forth as gold, and shining gloriously in the name of JESUS, the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls.

    Glory to His awesome name.
