****We Need To Keep Our Balance****

Hi My Dear Friends,
So sorry for the delay in a new post, but my health has had other plans.
In studying 1Peter: 5 yesterday, I found great comfort and a gentle reminder that we all need balance.

When I worked I enjoyed Sixty hour weeks, and thought I was a dedicated, responsible worker, but was I responsible to me? When I got hurt after falling on ice, I didn't slow down, for I felt that would be giving in, who planted that thought? How many times do I ignore that feeling deep inside that tells me to rest? What about when I push thoughts aside and say " no I can't do that," so I do nothing?"

There were three statements that really had a great impact on me in reference to my current circumstances and I am sure that all of my Christian brothers and sisters will be able to relate to these as well, because although our situations aren't identical, we all face our battles when Satan thinks we're off balance and he has the upper hand.

1peter 5:5-7 says: "You younger men follow the leadership of those who are older. And all of you serve each other with humble spirits, for God gives special blessings to those who are humble, but sets himself against those who are proud. If you will humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, in His good time He will lift you up. Let Him have all your worries and cares for He is always thinking of about you and watching everything that concerns you."

Here is the statement that really gave me strength, Peter 5: 8-9 "Be careful-- watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart. Stand firm when he attacks. Trust the Lord; and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too." 1peter 5: 14 "Give each other the handshake of Christian love. Peace be to all you who are in Christ."

And that says it all. I am so blessed to have the Holy Spirit control and direct my life and I am so grateful for the fellowship, prayers and supportive new brothers and sisters I have found through this blog. May we all continue to feel Gods loving embrace...
Have a great weekend Patricia©

  1. What a great post. I always feel under attack from satan...he is constantly trying to devour not only me but every christian who strives to serve God....If I don't have my full armour on, my day is horrible. And let me tell you, I forget to put on the full armour of God many days....satan likes to attack when we are weak.

Thank you for this wonderful reminder.

Putting on the full armour today,

    Have a blessed weekend,
    Connie

  2. I too feel I am under constant, unrelentless attack from Satan! My family is working for God and He is doing mighty things! Satan does not like this and he even sent a 'witch' to my husband yesterday! My husband was a bit off guard and came home asking for prayer. We need to walk with the armour of God on especially during the times we are living in as Satan is on the prowl as he knows his time is close.

God has brought you to my mind many times this week and I have been praying and covering you in prayer.

    Blessings,
    <><

So now I'm going to start over again till I make sure you see this!. I want you to know every time I read one of your blogs I learn something. I feel that god speaks through you to get a message to me...Like when I feel the world around me closing in on me, I forget to just lift it up. And there you were today reminding me to just Lift it up and Let Him have all your worries and cares. I needed that...THANK YOU GOD for using my bff to get that message to me. And God please watch over her too and if you can carry her now it would be a really good time. I love you!
