*******The Only Thing That Matters*******

Luke 10:38-42

New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)

At the Home of Martha and Mary

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but only one thing is needed.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

When Jesus was speaking He was letting us know that staying focused on Him is all that matters, it's all we need to see us through everything else. In this chapter He uses the Parable of the Good Samaritan, as well as the story about shaking the dust from your shoes when we are not welcomed in Jesus name. We were put here to spread love and light and to tell of Jesus to as many people as possible before we return home.

When the man in this chapter asked Jesus how does a man get into Heaven? Jesus replied  "what does Moses law say about it.?" ( Luke 10:26) the man replied it says,
"that you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind. And you must love your neighbor just as much as you love yourself." (Luke 10: 27-28) " Right!" Jesus told him. "Do this and you shall live."

We are all saved through Grace and once we are saved we are filled with the Holy Spirit who speaks to our Loving Father on our behalf and guides us with His wisdom and protects us with His love. There have been so many times in my life where I actually knew in that moment that I was not in control but being led by the Holy Spirit in and out of unimaginable circumstances, and had it not been for Him I would not be writing this today,

I find such peace in knowing that God sees us though the eyes of the Holy Spirit and not through our human eyes and understanding, and when we can remember that in Gods eyes we are ALREADY everything we are meant to be and that we don't have to wait to become "that" until we reach Heaven, that is when miraculous things begin to happen, because we are living the life God wanted us to, in the way He planned us to. I hope the below poem from my upcoming book " Poems of the Eternal Heart a Daily Devotional" fills you with hope and confidence. May our week ahead be filled with light, love, and joy so that we may be all our loving Father expects us to be. Love, hugs and prayers...Patricia P.S not sure why but comment box way below post would love to hear from you some have written me personally but there is a space it's just lower than normal. Hugs xx

When We Put God Before All Else

When we put God first,
we live life's best,
for our Eternal being,
supersedes the rest.

For our human bodies,
are just a shell,
and will be left behind,
to this earthly hell.

Which is why we acknowledge,
the Holy Spirit within,
and believe whole-heartidly,
Jesus wiped away our sin.

For it is then, we can soar,
to our Father's full potential,
knowing how He views us,
is extremely essential.

The Holy Spirit our projector,
for the image our Father sees,
and absolutely the only way,
He can be completely pleased.

For only true perfection,
is acceptable in His eyes,
hence the gift Jesus gave us,
our Almighty true and wise.
