***Don't Be Sad For We Have God's Word***

It has been hard in our walk as humans to handle death of loved ones, however, we have been given a promise by our Father through His word that all those we love who believe, will share in eternity with us and our loving Savior when He comes to bring us home.

I know it is hard to keep that in the front of our minds and stop the ache in our heart as a piece of us is left forever altered by their passing. I hope the below scripture and poem bring comfort and inspiration to those of us who have experienced such a huge loss. My hope is that we can rejoice and find solace in the joy and love they left us with found in the wonderful memories we are allowed to keep alive in our hearts.

I pray the upcoming week is filled with light, love, joy, and inspiration, and that the Holy Spirit fill us with the wisdom and courage we need to go out and continue our light for others to hold on to. The below poem is from my upcoming book " Poems of the Eternal Heart A Daily Devotional" Love, hugs and prayers Patricia xx

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Don't Be Sad

As days become darker,
as lights are laid to rest,
it gets harder and harder,
to see what is best.

For once we complete,
the task we are given,
the Lord ends our journey,
until the day we are risen.

For those left behind,
there's such a void from our loss,
but we find comfort in knowing,
that God is our source.

For it's His perfect timing,
that matters the most,
He showed us that proof,
When He gave us His host.

So when we are missing,
those filled with light,
may we remember that soon,
We will all reunite.....

  1. My mom passed in 1969 when I was nine and she was 35, it can still bring a tear even though I know where she is now.
