**We Were Never Promised It Would Be Easy**

John 1:4 4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

Psalm 110:1 Of David. A psalm. The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

God never promised our walk would be easy, in fact in the Bible all those who loved Christ had a very difficult, painful walk. Our walk is no different except that the attacker's days are even closer  to an end even more of a reason to remember that Our loving Father promised to make our enemies our footstool.

As long as we stay God's path and walk for us He promises to handle the consequences. How awesome is that? knowing that we don't have to handle the outcome of the adversities that lie ahead; however, when we step off God's path than yes, we are responsible and what a mess we will find ourselves in.

My loving Brothers and Sisters in Christ now more than ever it is so important that we gather together so we can shine our lights brightly as one and pray in groups of two or more so we know our Loving Father will be there. I pray that this message laid on my heart gives you strength and courage this week and that the below poem speaks to your hearts as it was laid on my heart to write and share.

I pray that when difficulties arise this week that we remember we are equipped with the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, and that we have God's words to search for any answer we may need. Have a joy-filled, love-filled week, love, hugs, and prayers Patricia xx May our loving Father continue to wrap you and those you love in His loving embrace.

From my upcoming book "Poems For The Eternal Heart A Daily Devotional"

Led By The Spirit

When something comes across our path,
that we are meant to face.
We know there is a reason,
that our Father chose it's place.

For as long as we walk along His path,
each step's meaning is made clear,
the one thing we know for certain,
is, we have no need to fear.

In His word He promised us,
that His grace would be received,
and the Spirit would abide in us,
to make sure that we succeed.

In every battle we come across,
the outcome must be the same,
anything we cannot face,
we must surrender in His name.

For those of us who have been saved,
by the Salvation of His Son,
know beyond a shadow of a doubt,
that our battle will be won....

  1. It certainly isn't always easy but it certainly is worth it!

  2. Beautiful poem, Patricia. You are a great writer. I needed this today. :)
And, although I DID like this Psalm: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet” - I just wish my own "self proclaimed" enemies just be nicer to me? I don't want retribution, just some courtesy and respect and less "selfishness" from them... know what I mean?
Anyway, great post. Thanks for sharing your lovely poem.

  3. Gloria, I think the Psalmist was using the actions of the non-believer, meaning whatever plot they come up with to stop us will actually lift us higher, ie; footstool helps us reach things we can't get to when we reach from the floor, just my thought as a poet I know metaphors are big for us LOL. I don't think it is about retribution but using a bad circumstance to push us forward just as our trials do now. we learn from the people who are cruel or unfair to us and it builds our character and makes us wiser. Big hugs love and prayers Patricia
