**********The Power of Words**********

Hebrews 8:12

"For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

Proverbs 18:21 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

The Bible tells us over and over again how powerful our words are. Not just over others but over ourselves. When we wake up in the morning instead of saying, "Lord I hope today is a good day and that my pain will be less." We should be saying, "Father I know today will be filled with Good health, love, joy, and prosperity, because you promised me that."

We have God's power with us at all times, He never leaves us, we forget Him. The Holy Spirit isn't a part -time tenant but a permanent resident. We all believe in the power of prayer, and daily we pray over others and know it will help them feel better, get that job, or find the answer they seek; yet, when it comes to us we're not convinced 100% of the time. Well that's the attacker banging at our door trying to deceive us into believing we're not where God wants us to be; nonsense.

When we stay God's course the consequences are on Him and He would never lead us down a path of harm or destruction, however, when we start hearing ourselves say "I don't know what else to do, or why can't I figure this out" than my brothers and sisters we are on our own path and responsible for the outcome.

Our Father doesn't want us to have to figure anything out, He wants to share in our Whole life. Yes not just when we have a need or want but in the everyday little stuff, He's our Father and we are His children, and not unlike our earthly parents He wants to be involved in our lives on a daily basis.

So the next time we hear ourselves saying "I" we need to quickly change our words to Father or Holy Spirit what is it that my Father is expecting of me in this situation or Thank you Father for all you do and will continue to do over my life and the lives of those I love and who love you.

I hope the below poem from my upcoming book " Poems for the Eternal Heart A Daily Devotional" brings you strength, comfort and inspiration for the upcoming week. Hugs, love, and prayers Patricia xx

The Power of Words

If we're in pain there is a reason,
but never should it,
overwhelm our season.

For even when we don't understand,
we need to remember
we're in God's hands.

The path He chose will always be,
one of love,
for you and me.

And though He allows heartache in,
it's not because,
of all our sins.

Those He forgave when He gave His Son,
these are just lessons,
He needs done.

Perhaps for ourselves, but maybe not,
but we know in our hearts
it's His perfect plot.

To fulfill our purpose that we must do,
as we promised our Father.
to be loyal and true.

For never has He or will He, let us down,
for that was the purpose,
of the thorn-filled crown.

So let us remember each and every day,
that it's not just our prayers,
He hears all that we say.....
