****Don't Plead but Present Your Case****

There are many scriptures in the Bible in which our Father gives us His word about many things. For instance He said to us in Proverbs 4: 18 " But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full day." He also said in Psalm 46: 1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

I know for me, when I pray, I try not to sound like I am a child asking or begging for something I want, but instead I try and recite His word given to us, so when I am in pain or there is something that seems impossible to overcome, I will say, Father I know you are here and you are my strength and refuge and therefore, I lift this unto you for you are here in my life to help.

During the times the attacker is on full speed ahead, and he is sitting on my shoulder whispering you can't do this,  I simply say you're right but I know someone who can. And than I recall the earlier passage, and say I know my day will get better because I am now righteous because of Jesus, so my day will get brighter and brighter because my Father said so.

I know these are tough and trying times for us all, but especially for my brothers and sisters in Christ who are under constant attack; because it is our attackers hope that he can snuff out our light.

But I am here to encourage you to remember, that throughout the Bible we can find God's words to aid us in every circumstance, and if we remember to ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and remind us when we loose our foot-hold momentarily, the turn-around time is quick and He brings us right back on our path.

We don't have to beg our Heavenly Father for anything, but we do have to back up what we say and ask with His word; and when we do that, the results are exactly what they should be according to Him, and where we stand on our walk.

The holiday weekend is coming, and many of us will be with family and friends, and doing a lot of traveling. I pray that we will all enjoy ourselves, and are kept safe and protected, as in John 12: 26, when we serve and follow Jesus we are honored by the Father, how awesome is that?

So, I pray we all keep that in mind when we may be tempted or tricked by our attacker, that we can stand tall, knowing if we stick with Jesus, the Father will honor us and protect us from our enemies.

Be safe have a fruitful and truly bright week ahead, and may our lights continue to be a beacon to all those who are in the dark searching for their way home...God Bless us and keep us all in His loving embrace always.... Patricia©

  2. Patricia,

The attacker tries to push us down in so many ways... with words, people we love.

I've learned to rebuke my loved ones with scripture. Please pray for me. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".

    Love to you,
    Joey
