***The Bible is Our Guide Book For Life***

How awesome is that? Our loving Father gave us a cheat sheet in a way. He gave us The Bible which holds all the answers, not only to this life but our Eternal life. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, scream, dance, or jump up and down. Knowing and reading His word is the difference between existing, or living life.

If we wake up Monday to go to work, do the same on Tuesday and can't wait until we get to Friday, we are just functioning, existing. But, if we get up and we open our books, and we say God, you told me we all have a purpose, today I want to begin to figure out what that is, so I may notice things in my day that are important, so that I may fulfill all you need me to, and be one step closer to getting home. Wow, what a different experience that day will hold, not just for us, but every person God has placed on our path.

My Pastor gave an awesome sermon today, I was so filled with the Spirit, so joyful, that I got on Face Book and shared it in my room of prayer warriors, and with two of my closest sisters in Christ and I began to tear, not because I was overwhelmed by the Joy, but because in that very moment I realized that the Joy I was feeling, was not even a glimmer, a molecule, of the Joy we will experience for all of Eternity. I felt I could fly at that moment, and it still isn't even close to what our loving Father has promised us when we live in His Kingdom.

I took three pages of notes during this sermon and the one sentence that jumped off the page ( a clear indication from the Holy Spirit that it was meant for me) was, "If we say "No" in the power of the Holy Spirit nothing can make us do it." Another words if we want to stop smoking for example, and we say say no to cigarettes in the power of the Holy Spirit and we believe and have conviction that nothing can make us pick up another cigarette, it is done. How powerful is that? What would you like to ask in the power of the Spirit? The sermon was on "Living a Disciplined Life" so we receive all the abundant blessing God has planned for us, as well as helping us to succeed in completing His purpose for our lives.

As in 1Timothy 4:7-12  says "Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly. 8 “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” 9 This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it. 10 This is why we work hard and continue to struggle,[a] for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.
11 Teach these things and insist that everyone learn them. 12 Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."
We say over and over as Saved Christians that the Holy Spirit lives within us, guiding us, and giving us a wisdom we could not naturally have, for it is far beyond our years, but even while knowing, our carnal being forgets to call upon the Spirits help, and instead of our Eternal being leading our way, our earthly being in those moments gets tricked by the attacker, and we forget the power bestowed within us through the Blood of our Savior Jesus Christ.

So I want to encourage us all this week to remember after our daily readings, that we ask the Holy Spirit to control our day, thoughts, and actions, and that our week, is a week that keeps us all on our path, so we can continue to complete our individual purposes God the Father has hand selected for each of us. May we all have a safe and blessed week, filled with love, joy, patience and wisdom, and may our loving Father continue to wrap us, and those we love in His loving embrace. Love, hugs, and prayers Patricia xxx

I hope the below poem from my upcoming book "Poems of the Eternal Heart A Daily Devotional" fill you with hope and inspiration.

All Children Need Discipline

One of the ways we know we're loved,
is when we're corrected if we're wrong.
not only does it build character,
but it aids us in growing strong.

Not unlike our earthly parents,
our Heavenly Father wants what's best,
So He arms us with His Holy Word,
In order for us to ace earth's test.

For He knows the attacker doesn't quit,
as he tries with tricks and lies,
to prevent us from eternal life,
as he wants us all to die.

But our Creator took care of that,
with the Resurrection of His Son,
and it was on that Easter Sunday,
that the final battle had been won.

So though we have our challenges,
if we walk along God's path,
in that hour when our Savior returns,
it will not be us, to face His wrath....

  5. First of all, beautiful poem, Patricia! I always tell my son, even though he's not a little kid anymore, that I wouldn't bother to give him advice if I didn't care! (OK, I guess I CAN be a pest with my advice sometimes!)
Anyway, I hope you have been well. And I totally agree with you in your post with saying we all just 'exist' a lot of the time, hoping for the weekend. It's just that life is hard and we all need a reprieve, and so we look forward to the weekend; but if we know the good Lord is there with us every step of the way, especially during the week, we might enjoy the week a little bit more, right?! ;)
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, Patricia. It was good visiting you and God bless you!
    Best,
    Gloria
